Pricing Structure

RMF Design and Manufacturing Inc. has an open pricing policy. When we produce a product we provide our full price breakdown to our customers for any project we build or design. We welcome suggestions from our customers on ways to reduce costs.

Engineering and Development Prices

Our engineering quotes are based on an hourly rate of CD$58.00 - $75.00 per hour based on the complexity of the job, plus our expenses at cost. We generate a quotation for each project by listing the tasks to be performed, and estimating the hours and expenses required to complete each task. When requested we provide a breakdown of tasks, budgeted labour, and budgeted expenses with each quotation.

Production Prices

Our production prices consist of the following items added together:

• Component costs. This is by far the biggest item
• Labour cost to purchase components and carry out incoming inspection of parts
• Labour cost for board assembly
• Labour cost to test each unit
• Labour cost for final assembly for each unit
• Labour cost to pack and ship the finished product
• Overhead cost
• Our profit
